A smart watering system for trees on the street. Responding to limited local water and pressing environmental issues, this smart irrigation system monitors soil moisture and realtime weather data. The creators sought a solution that would both address water scarcity and the insufficient care for street trees in Gaza. The result is healthier community trees and sustainable water use. As with many of the entries, the product itself raises awareness of a local issue and creates a collective sense of responsibility.
